About Dharmshala and Dalhousie

Dharamshala: the holy abode of the tibbatan spiritual leader Dalai Lama at McLeod Ganj, this town situated in Kangra Valley has numerous Buddhist monasteries, scattered amidst the hills surrounding this region. With the establishment of the Tibetan government-in-exile, the traditions and flavours of Tibet have found its way into the culture and cuisine of Dharamshala.
The region of himachal pradesh also has many ancient temples and beautiful churches built during the reign of the British, tucked away among the lush green dense forests.

Dalhousie is surrounded by pine-clad mountains and spectacular views of lush green hills, Dalhousie is a gem of a hill station in India. Located in western part of Himachal Pradesh,
it has a quaint and laid-back atmosphere. The scenery is very vivid with flowering rhododendrons and green dense forests filled with pines, oaks and cedar .
The town was established by the British as a summer retreat for their officials and their familes . Dalhousie is dotted with beautiful buildings sporting british colonial architecture,

Day 1: Arrival at Chandigarh | Chandigarh to Dharmshala ( 260 Km / 06 Hours Apprx )

Arrival at Chandigarh Airport or Railway Station meet our representive drive to dharmshala , Check in at the hotel and relax for a while. Visit Old Church, Shiva Cafe and Bhagsu Waterfall. Return to the hotel for your overnight

Day 2: Dharmshala Sightseeing
In the morning after breakfast get ready to visit rest sightseeing of mclordganj and explore the local places then visit to Visit Kangra Art Museum night stay at hotel

Day 3: Dharmshala to Dalhousie ( 120 Km / 04 Hours Apprx )
In the morning, check-out from the hotel and head towards Dalhousie. Named after the British Governor General of India, Lord Dalhousie, this hill station must not be left unexplored. It is situated in and around five prominent hills, named as Kathlog, Potreys, Tehra, Bakrota and Balun. A view of the snow-capped mountains from this hill station is sure to add to the memories.

Along with the pristine Natural beauty, colonial architecture seen in this hill station is also admirable. On arrival at Dalhousie , check-in at the hotel and rest for a while. Later, spend the evening at visit local places , night stay at hotel.

Day 4: Dalhousie Sightseeing
today after the morning breakfast get ready for sightseeing tour of Dalhousie. Start with a visit to Panchpula, picturesque spot featuring numerous natural water springs. One of the prominent springs out here is Satdhara, which is believed to contain medicinal properties. This place is also famous for an exquisite monument built in the memory of a great freedom fighter, Sardar Ajit Singh.

Next, visit the beautiful Subhash Baoli, a captivating spot where Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, a famous freedom fighter spent some time in 1937. Located around a kilometre from Dalhousie, this place is a popular picnic spot that commands a picturesque view of snow-capped hills and towering trees. Facilitated with proper seating arrangements, you may spend some time adoring the scenic beauty of this attraction.

Later, pay homage at the Bhulwani Mata Temple at Bara Pathar. It is a small but popular temple nestled in the thick forests of the Ahla village. As located on the way to Kalatope, this area also serves as a break point while trekking towards the same. The tour of Dalhousie remains incomplete without witnessing the stunning view of snow-capped peaks at Bakrota Hills, which are situated at a height of 2085 m above sea level.

Return to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 5: Dalhousie to Chandigarh ( departure )
In the morning after break fast check out from hotel and proceed to Chandigarh Airport or Railway station.
